We ride for the cause.
IFYOUTeam Hoover is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, started in 2012 by a Sunday School class at First Baptist Church, Salisbury Street in Raleigh, NC. Our community now includes friends, neighbors and extended family from across Raleigh and from other cities and states. Our mission is to raise resources to fight Multiple Sclerosis, raise awareness of the disease and help those locally who suffer with it. Our primary effort each year is to field and support a team to ride in the Bike MS New Bern Ride. The team is named after one of our own, Chris Hoover, who suffers from MS. A father of triplet girls, a former basketball coach and a model of courage and determination, Chris continues to be our inspiration, but we ride for ALL who struggle with this disease - our family and friends, and those of others. All resources raised by Team Hoover go toward this mission. IF YOU'D LIKE TO RIDE WITH TEAM HOOVER IN NEW BERN, SIGN UP HERE!

Along with a number of other contributors to the National MS Society's mission, Chris was awarded the Greater Carolinas Chapter 2017 MOVE Award in December 2017 for his contributions to the National MS Society's mission.
Chris and Felicia Hoover recently went to Washington DC to lobby for increased research funding with other advocates for people with MS.

About Chris.
Chris Hoover was diagnosed with MS in 2012, and has continued to speak out for those with the disease, and lobby the NC Governor, General Assembly and Congress for more help in fighting the disease. The video below was produced by the National MS Society not long after Chris was diagnosed with the disease.
